Project Manager at HubSpot

I managed an enthusiastic team of software engineers and together we were building a customer platform of the next generation. Bridged communications between our current and potential clients and our teams, defined required features, spearheaded development efforts, conducted quality testing, and did systems setups. Opened new markets and integrated our application into a wide variety of business models, from powering up NGO’s, to universities streamlining their research efforts, to chambers of commerce member communities, to government programs. Together we’ve leveled up a billion dollar SAAS to the new heights.

I supported our growing team, and recruited new talents when required. Prepared presentations with financial projections and approximate schedules, drafted contracts for both potential clients and hired crews, reviewed reports and adjusted deliveries, administrated documents, applied for different types of permits from building with HVAC to electrical and plumbing. Continuous monitoring and control of all variables, and a fast reaction to unexpected requests is the key to success here. On top of it I performed an apartment complex manager role, making sure that everyone’s happy being a part of our fine community.

I successfully operated two bright teams, the first is industrial engineers assembling spectrophotometer equipment and the second is extraordinary geeks building a supporting software for the machines. I was creating standard operating procedures, optimized task loads, following schedules, communicated with stakeholders, clients, and our teams for crystal clear objectives execution. Was presenting our company at different industry related conferences, and closed many multimillion supply orders with the world leading plastics manufacturers. Most importantly, we provided a needed product to many businesses around the world.

I was in charge of public relations campaign at the state university for Horizon 2020. Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020) – in addition to the private investment that this money will attract. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market. The campaign was a big success and Horizon 2020 approved our university for a partnership.

Was working on making a simpler information exchange workflow that would shorten a time to receive data from the involved hardware and their respective software. Spectroscopy hybridized with modern computer systems will help humankind identify what a targeted mass millions of miles away from planet Earth consists of by looking at the matter’s spectra. Spectra is a light code of a matter like our DNA.

Volunteering

Blood Donor at General Hospital of Kavala

I donate blood every 3 months to save the lives of our fellow citizens, with over 30 total donations made. It’s the highest honor to be able to save a life of another person, I’m blessed to fit right in for this type of volunteering. This community service puts a big smile on my face, knowing that I make a positive difference for our city by playing a role to rescue a precious life that God gave us.
